Azure & AWS Cloud Engineering

Migration, modernisation and cloud-native platforms on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS), built secure, observable and ready to scale. Senior engineers design it, build it with your team and leave you with a platform you understand.

Key facts

Is this for you?

  • You're moving applications off ageing servers or out of a data centre, and want to do it once, properly.
  • Your Azure or AWS environments were set up by hand, and nobody is confident changing them.
  • Releases need a change window and a weekend, not a pipeline and a button.
  • When something is slow or down, nobody can quickly show you why.

The problem

Moving to the cloud is easy to start and hard to do well. Many teams end up with a lift-and-shift that costs more than the old servers, environments that were configured by hand, and a platform only one person really understands.

  • Releases are slow or risky because infrastructure isn't automated.
  • Security and access rules grew organically and nobody is sure they're right.
  • When something breaks, it takes too long to see why.
How we set up a cloud platform on Azure or AWS: everything defined as code, deployed through pipelines, secured by default and monitored from day one.
How we set up a cloud platform on Azure or AWS: everything defined as code, deployed through pipelines, secured by default and monitored from day one.

Our approach

1. Understand

We start with your applications, your team and your constraints: compliance, budgets, deadlines. Then we agree the target architecture and the order to get there in.

2. Build

We build the platform as code, set up pipelines and environments, and move or modernise workloads step by step, so the business keeps running throughout.

3. Hand over

We document what we built, train your team on it, and stay available while it settles in. You own the platform, not us.

What we do

  • Migration of applications and databases to Azure or AWS, planned in waves with a rollback for each step.
  • Modernisation: moving workloads to managed services where it pays off, such as App Service, Azure Functions and Azure Kubernetes Service on Azure, or AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS on AWS.
  • Infrastructure as code with Terraform, Bicep or AWS CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Landing zones: Azure subscriptions or AWS accounts, networking, identity and policy set up so new projects start secure.
  • Observability: logging, metrics, tracing and alerts with Azure Monitor and Application Insights, or Amazon CloudWatch and AWS X-Ray.
  • Security and reliability: least-privilege access, secrets management, backups and disaster recovery that has been tested.

By the numbers

Forecast worldwide public cloud spending by segment, 2025
  • Software as a service (SaaS): $299.1B
  • Infrastructure as a service (IaaS): $211.9B
  • Platform as a service (PaaS): $208.6B

Infrastructure and platform services, the layers we design and build on, make up more than half of the forecast. How well they're engineered decides how much of that money turns into value.

What you get

  • A target architecture and migration plan, agreed before anything moves.
  • Infrastructure as code for every environment, in your own repository.
  • CI/CD pipelines that build, test and deploy your applications.
  • Dashboards and alerts in Azure Monitor or Amazon CloudWatch.
  • A security baseline: least-privilege access with Microsoft Entra ID or AWS IAM, secrets in Azure Key Vault or AWS Secrets Manager, network rules in code.
  • Runbooks and handover sessions, so your team can run the platform without us.

Results

  • Repeatable releases Environments and deployments defined in code, not by hand.
  • A secure foundation New projects inherit it instead of reinventing it.
  • Faster diagnosis The platform tells you what's wrong, so problems are found and fixed sooner.
  • A team that can run it Documentation and knowledge transfer are part of the work, not an extra.

Engagement model

We usually begin with a short discovery to agree the target architecture and plan. Delivery then runs as a project with clear milestones, or as an embedded team working alongside your engineers. We agree the scope, team and pricing model with you before work starts.

Your team

A senior cloud engineer leads the work, joined by platform, DevOps or application engineers as the plan needs. You talk to the people doing the work.

Working hours

Our team works from Ho Chi Minh City (UTC+7). That's within an hour of Singapore and Malaysia, and gives four to five hours of shared working time with the Australian east coast every day. For clients in the US we agree an overlap window at the start and handle the rest asynchronously, with written updates.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work on Azure or AWS?

Both. If you already run on one, we build on it. If you're choosing, we compare them for your workloads, skills and existing contracts, and explain the trade-offs. If parts of your system run on both, we connect them properly.

Can you work with our existing infrastructure team?

Yes, and we prefer to. We work in your repositories, follow your review process and pair with your engineers, so the knowledge stays with you.

Do we have to move everything at once?

No. We plan migrations in waves, starting with lower-risk workloads, and keep the old and new environments running side by side until each step is proven.

Terraform, Bicep or CloudFormation?

Whichever fits your team and your cloud. If you already use one, we use it. If you're starting fresh, we'll recommend one and explain why. Terraform works on both Azure and AWS.
